Sunday Gathering Time
Worship & Breakfast
New this fall is a children and youth worship, a brief and simple service filled with prayer and singing.
Immediately following will be a light breakfast served to all Sunday School students, while they enjoy music and fellowship with one another.
We begin each Sunday morning during the program year at 9:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of New Brick.
Sunday School for children also takes place during this time.
Afterwards, they will join their parents at worship during the peace.
Christ Church's Youth Formation Program
Journey to Adulthood is a relational youth program focused on building authentic spiritual communities. The program is based on the concept that “Manhood and Womanhood are gifts from God, but Adulthood must be earned.” It encourages teens to explore four areas - self, spirituality, sexuality and society - and to learn to connect their faith to all areas of life. Consistency (each group stays together, with a new group every other year) and shared rites of passage within the program foster strong group bonds and authentic community.
Middle School Youth meet from 9:30-10:20 a.m. in their classroom in the basement of the Parish Hall.
Middle School Youth uses the first phase - Rite 13 - of Journey To Adulthood.

High School youth meet from 9:30-10:20 a.m. in their classroom in the basement of the Parish Hall.
The High School program offers a hybrid of a pre-Confirmation curriculum, and the second phase of the Journey To Adulthood program. Classes are appropriate for all youth, whether or not they intend to be confirmed. Teens explore promises made on their behalf at baptism, their roles in those promises going forward, and the teachings and history of the Episcopal Church.
is made up of youth from 5th grade through High School.
Our Youth Group program provides opportunities for community service, social activities, and engagement with youth from around the Diocese. These events strengthen peer bonds outside and inside the church. Friends are invited to join in the fun!
On two Sundays in the year, members of our Youth Group lead worship at both the 8:00 and 10:30 service at preachers, lectors, intercessors and ushers, among other ministries.
