Youth Formation:
Our Mission

Christ Church Sunday School and Youth Faith Formation ministries aim to provide the youth of our community a safe, caring, and nurturing environment in which they can build positive and supportive relationships, grow strong in their faith, and practice serving others. We support a vibrant youth ministry that offers opportunities throughout the school year for youth to learn together, serve others, and have fun!

This is a program offered to all children and youth (preschool - 12th grade) that’s designed to develop and enrich their spiritual lives and deepen their relationship with God. Throughout the year, we will offer Bible-based teachings and also have time to explore some of the interests and/or issues our younger parishioners face. It’s an important program that’s relevant and engaging for everyone.

Our program begins on September 7th, but we welcome new people at any time. If you're interested, email our Youth and Family Ministry Director, Mother Marcia Davenport, at youth@christchurchcolumbia.org. And if you'd like to register now, please do so below:

Confirmation is a very special occasion for the youth who were baptized at an early age to make a public affirmation of their faith in God, recommit themselves to their vows of baptism, and receive the laying on of hands by the Bishop. The confirmation candidates will explore promises made on their behalf at baptism, their roles in those promises going forward, and the teachings and history of The Episcopal Church.
Our next Confirmation will be on November 30, 2025, when the Bishop visits Christ Church. It's not too late to join our Confirmation classes, which take place on Sunday afternoons. Christ Church clergy will be teaching the lessons. These are hybrid classes, with some at church but most on Zoom, so contact us if you are interested.
