I wonder what

The nonbelieving world

Was like

The day

Before

Christ died.

We all know

What happened

After –

The skies wept.

I wonder

If they

Awaited

His execution

With trepidation

Or if they knew

Ahead of time

That fury

In the Heavens

Would soon offer

Redemption.
