Christ Church's Food Drive - This Saturday

COME ON BY AND HELP US FEED THOSE IN NEED -

CHRIST CHURCH'S FIRST FOOD DRIVE OF 2023 IS THIS SATURDAY

This weekend, Christ Church resumes a pre-pandemic tradition by holding its first Food Drive since 2019 at a local supermarket. On Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m., we encourage everyone to visit the River Hill Giant Supermarket at 6050 Daybreak Circle in Clarksville as we encourage shoppers to collectively donate hundreds of pounds of non-perishable groceries for the Howard County Food Bank and – new this year – for its partner, SAFE Food Pantry.

The need for food is significant right now due to inflation and the end of federal emergency food assistance tied to the pandemic. Many low-income households struggle, especially those buying groceries to meet dietary restrictions. In Howard County, that’s where SAFE steps in. In addition to Christ Church, SAFE also partners with Grace Episcopal Church as a place where you can routinely find their food donation bins.

But tomorrow, we'll be at the River Hill Giant so if you want to clear your own grocery shopping from your “to-do” list, why not shop there between 12 and 4? As you begin, you can look for the items on the list we’ll hand out for CAC and for SAFE - which provides free gluten-free and allergy-safe foods - and you can drop those off at the end of your shopping trip.

If you can't make it tomorrow, don't worry - you can also give securely at any time by using our online portal. No matter the amount, every bit helps. Visit https://tinyurl.com/CEC-FoodDrive - and thank you!
