Lenten Meditation for Today : Hymn of Praise
The world is flying fast apart
Before unyielding choirs of light
A man has come to crush the dark
To set the truth against the night.
Upon his head a crown of Peace
The promised peace unsurpassed
And in his hand to shatter grief
The telling scepter of belief.
He is a gospel for all men
A call to break the binding past
The grip of time is at an end
The chains of death have been unclasped
Forever through this last amen
The word of life is now confessed
Forever through this last amen
We live our life among the blest.
