Today's Lenten Meditation : Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace. Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it. Trusting that You will make all things right If I surrender to Your will. So that I may be reasonably happy in this life And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Your Meditations Can Help Others Find Peace During Lent
The Christ Church Lenten Meditation Booklet, a 25-year-old tradition at our parish, is a powerful read for so many, created with love by members of Christ Church. It is designed to assist us all in times of quiet contemplation, preparing ourselves for rebirth and renewal at Easter. Poems, quotes, stories of reflection, images, prayers, and inspirational pieces by writers or theologians - they all come together to make up this special booklet - one that you can take home with

We Shall Overcome.
This past Sunday, in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Christ Church's 10:30 worship concluded with the song "We Shall Overcome" - one that the Library of Congress tells us has history and connection to two separate songs from over a hundred years ago - the lyrics from “I’ll Overcome Some Day” written by the Reverend Charles Tindley in 1903, and the melody from a traditional African American gospel song called “I’ll be All Right.” It's astonishing that this song

Mother Marcia began this tradition last Advent season, and this year she returns, drawing inspiration from a different prayer book each night and reflecting on a different person, as well. We hope you'll find this series a perfect way to wind down after a hectic day of a busy season. You'll find these each night at 7 p.m. on our website, YouTube, and Facebook pages. https://www.c

Thanksgiving Day Prayer
Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. A prayer of thanks on this day of gratitude. #Thanksgiving #Tha
