Frank Rittermann, Music Director

Christ Episcopal Church offers a variety of musical opportunities for church members to share their talents to further enhance the worship services.      Whether you are young or young at heart, singer, soloist or instrumentalist, your willingness to serve your church and share your time and talent are welcome always. Christ Episcopal Church is very fortunate to have a demographically diverse congregation, receptive to a variety of musical styles.      It is our hope that all will feel welcome to participate in one of its musical organizations.

The Choirs of Christ Church

You may be surprised to discover:

  • You will contribute no matter how small your voice … we have no prima donnas.
  • The fellowship and comradery
  • The satisfaction of giving to your church and to God something that can’t be measured in dollars and cents.
  • The therapeutic benefit of singing can invigorate you spiritually, physically and emotionally.

DSC01274The Adult Choir

Open to high school age and older, the adult choir may be a good fit for you. New singers are always welcome to become part of this “family.”  Why not stop by to find out more about the choir? Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. in the church.  Sunday service is at 10:30 a.m. Naturally, the adult choir leads the musical presentations at most seasonal services during Advent and Christmas as well as Holy Week and Easter.

DSC01268 (2)The Youth Choir

Comprised of elementary and middle school age children, the youth choir is a wonderful way to introduce and integrate our younger people into the worship experience by actively participating in both the musical and spiritual elements.    All this while learning and having fun!    The support of our younger families is crucial to the health of the church and Christ Church’s Youth Choir is evidence of that strong support. The choir participates regularly in the 10:30 am service and rehearsals are held immediately after that service until 12:30 p.m. during the school year. The children also lead the music at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Service.  Local community outreach activities are being planned.

Interested in a more contemporary form of musical expression? The CEC Unity Band may be just the right fit. This musical group leads the service music periodically throughout the church year. For more information, contact Patrick Frith, Pete Sanchez, or Frank Rittermann.

Vocal Soloists and Instrumentalists are encouraged to join in the musical tradition of CEC

A wealth of talent within our congregation is the source of much of the special music offered at CEC throughout the year. Whether a young pianist, high school instrumentalist, or adult soloist, all are encouraged to share their God given gifts in praise and worship.
