Lenten Meditations 2012

As we enter the holy season of Lent in this year, 2012, the weather we have experienced over the last few months seems confused.  In the midst of some of the most traditionally cold days of the year, we have experienced mildness and even at times, warmth.  More than a few minds have said – “We’re going to pay for this!” bringing anxiety and fear.  We shall see, as we await and live through each of all the coming days until the season of Spring convinces us it has arrived.

Perhaps it is the same with our spiritual lives; the events of any day may confuse us as we seek steadiness within our journey. The spiritually “cold”  portion of our lives seeks to be greeted with the warmth of the Son.  This Lenten book of meditations, sponsored annually by our Spiritual Life Commission, has been compiled by them from parishioner’s submissions.  Each year we are touched by some, energized by others and moved by even more.  Since we began this ministry, every year has brought surprises as well as clarity and direction to so many.

This Meditation Booklet, available in its entirety here,  is a gift to our spirits, and it shares the pathways of many to no longer allow confusion to guide us, but rather hope and our Christian vision.  Our prayer for you, as you read each day, is to know that we are together in faith and walk as those who seek to know the Way.

Meditations will also be posted daily, so you can follow along on our website, too. Join us!

I ‘googled’ Lenten meditations and came across your website from my home in Singapore. I have read the first two and already feel that God has led me to your site, am feeling more encouraged and contemplative as I move forward into Lent.
    Thank you!
