Christ Church Link (CCLink) is an outreach ministry of Christ Episcopal Church which assists our Howard County neighbors in need. With a special focus on children, families and seniors, Christ Church Link serves all county residents regardless of faith, race, nationality, gender or other discriminating factors. Through the help of many parish and community volunteers, Christ Church Link offers a range of  outreach programs.

Call the Christ Church Link Crisis Helpline at 410.309.9695 for emergency assistance

CCLink phone volunteers guide callers to emergency assistance for:

  • Evictions/Foreclosures
  • Utility Turnoffs
  • Food
  • Medicine/Health Care
  • Shelter
  • Clothing
  • Jobs
  • Transportation
  • other basic needs

CCLink differs from other Information & Referral services. Our volunteers not only provide resource phone numbers, agency schedules/requirements and advice on seeking aid, they also follow-up with callers to see if they’ve gotten help. In crisis situations, advocacy support may also be offered.

The heart of the CCLink Helpline is its volunteers

Our volunteers generously share two to three hours of their time monthly, bi-monthly, weekly or as available, to guide helpline callers to community resources, using CCLink’s simple referral system.

Adults from the Christ Church congregation, other faith groups, or the community are welcome to apply to become a CCLink helpline volunteer. Basic training (about two hours) and continuing support are provided. To volunteer, please 410-309-9695 or contact us.

The CCLink volunteers and office are supported by the Christ Episcopal Church clergy and staff.

In addition, our volunteers help with programs that support our local community throughout the year, including:

Prepare for Success Backpack & School Supply Program

CCLink founded and, from 2000 to 2009, coordinated the county-wide, award-winning Prepare for Success partnership that has equipped over 18,000 Howard County Public School System Students from low-income families with backpacks filled with essential school supplies. CCLink and Christ Episcopal Church remain active partners in this award-winning program.

The Giving Tree Christmas Program

CCLink coordinates the collection and distribution of Christmas gifts, clothing and food gift cards for over 200 children from low-income families. These items are donated by the Christ Episcopal Church congregation, as well as other individuals and businesses in the area.

CCLink Community Solutions Incubator

CCLink identifies county residents with unmet needs via our helpline, then develops and nurtures community-based solutions, e.g., Alianza de la Communidad, Prepare for Success, HELP (Howard Emergency Lifeline Project).
